2009 Donghua University Raffles Design Institute Scholarship Selection Program
1. The aim of scholarship
To select the excellent students from multi-channels, provide opportunities for the development of students’ potential, encourage the excellent students to further their study in design and administration, cultivate the greatly needed professionals for Shanghai and the whole China, attract more excellent high school graduates to study in Donghua-Raffles Design Institute, increase the quality of student source, promote the cooperation between our school and enterprises and recruit excellent students.
2. Scholarship items and cash amount: Total amount is 5 million RMB
First prize (20 students): 60,000 yuan per person for new entrants scholarship with its certificate
Second prize (50 students): 30,000 yuan per person for new entrants scholarship with its certificate
Third prize (80 students): 10,000 yuan per person for new entrants scholarship with its certificate
Prize for excellence (100): English course worth 2000 yuan
Entry prize (500): exquisite gift of Raffles Design Institute
3. Professional guiding seminar: February 23, 2009 (Saturday)
The content of every professional guiding seminar will be categorized as follows:
Design and administration courses delivered by foreign lecturers
University selection for college entrance examination (expert seminar)
The updated college entrance examination policies issued in 2008
The schedule of professional seminars:
The first session: 10:00-12:00 seminar special for arts
The second session: 13:30-15:30 general seminar
4. The exam content for scholarship selection:
1. Selective exam for design major
General examinee: exam subjects (English, Creativity)
Art examinee: exam subjects (Creativity, quick sketch)
2. Selective exam for administration
Exam subject: English
5. Arrangement for examination
Time for exam: Mar 1, 2009
Time for result: Mar 7, 2009
